INTERESTING FACTS

the spirit worship called as Bhuta Kola, is an ancient tradition followed in the Tulunad region, comprising of South Karnataka and North Kerala. Some spirits are animals like Tiger, Pig, Wild Boar etc.

these Kolas are held in various villages, where the head family of the village, known as Guthu is incharge of such Kolas. The culture and history is very deep and vast to be made a part of here, so am only offering very few visuals to give one a sense of what the Kolas are. Also as usual the photographs are in BNW cos not only is that my style, but also I feel photographic colors are usually misleading and unnecessarily glamorized. I would prefer my visuals just inspire people to go and visit such festivals.
